10th International Conference on Management Information Systems Successfully Completed

10th International Conference on Management Information Systems was held at Yeditepe University 26 August Campus between October 18-20, 2023. The conference themed "Sustainability in the Dijital Age" was chaired by Assist. Prof. Dr. Çağla Özen, Head of the Department of Information Systems and Technologies, and some of the topics of the conference were "Metaverse Basics: Block-Chain, Cryptocurrencies and NFTs", "Cyber Security and Cloud Computing", "Data Science, Big Data, Data Analytics and Data Governance", "Internet of Things, Digital Twins and Applications", "Digital Transformation and Industry 5.0", "Artificial Intelligence and Applications", "Society 5.0 and E-adaptation" and "Game Development, Gamification, Virtual and Augmented Reality". A total of 70 papers were presented under 17 session titles at the conference.

Prominent Names of the Information Technology World Contributed to the Conference with Panels, Speeches and Trainings

Ms. Gönül Kamalı, Chairman of the Board of Directors of YASAD, who attended the conference as a general speaker, gave her speech titled "50 years of the Turkish software industry in the 100th anniversary of our Republic", while Türk Telekom AssisTT Information Technologies Deputy General Manager Mr. İzzet Gökhan Erten, Amazon Web Services Country Manager Ms. Berrin Mumcu Özselçuk , President of the Public Informatics Association Mr. İzzet Gökhan Özbilgin, Journalist / IT and Telecom Expert Mrs. Füsun Sarp Nebil, LC Waikiki Deputy General Manager Ms. İrem Yılmaz and Yeditepe University Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Avadis Simon Hadcinliyan attended the conference as an invited speaker.

Boğaziçi University Management Information Systems Department Head, Prof. Dr. Bilgin Metin's "Ethical Hacker 101 for Young People" training, Tüpraş Data Science Senior Consultant Ms. Seza Dursun's "Structures and Intelligence" training, Noranet Information Technologies Founder/Senior Consultant Mr. Samet Çulha's "Networking-101" training and Opportune Company Representative Ms. İrem Gündoğdu's "Hyper Personalization" training attracted great attention.

Dokuz Eylül University Management Information Systems Department Head Prof. Dr. Vahap Tecim, Researcher Journalist, Informatics and Telecom Expert Ms. Füsun Sarp Nebil, Public Informatics Association President Assoc. Prof. Dr. İzzet Gökhan Özbilgin and Eti Mining Enterprises General Directorate Management Information Systems Department Head Mr. Sezayi Buğdaycı participated in the 'MIS in the Digital and Sustainable Age' themed panel of the conference.

Participating in the panel moderated by Assist. Prof. Dr. Çağla Özen, İzzet Gökhan Özbilgin, President of the Association of Public Informatics, referred to the e-Government Report prepared by the European Commission and said, "We moved up 4-5 places every year to 10th place. We are the country with the most successful digital transformation in the public sector."
